User and Team Rules

This article explains the process of creating access control rules for users and teams in your Timus network.

Using the Rules feature, you can implement time-based and personalized web filtering for users and teams within your network.

This enables you to efficiently manage all access requests from individual users or teams within your network.

To create User and Team Rules for multiple targets, such as URLs, apps, devices, and IP addresses, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Timus Manager > Rules > Firewall page.

  2. Click on the Create New button, located at the top right of the Firewall (Rules) page.

  3. Select Users for Source to apply the rule or select Teams for Source to create rules for many users at once.

  4. Select the username(s) for the user(s) or team(s) to which you want to apply the rule.

  5. Select an Action to determine the validity of the rule.

  6. Select a Destination for the rule.

  7. Select a Factor.

  8. Click Save.

This way, the user or team can access the network based on the specific rule you have created.

The rule example below indicates that user x has constant access to the internet through TCP port 80.
